SUMMER CAMPS at MARIN WALDORF SCHOOL

Marin Waldorf School’s summer offerings transform our campus into a vibrant, multi-age world of play, creativity, nature exploration, handwork, literacy, and outdoor adventure.

Registration for Summer 2026 is now open!

Children 3 to 6 years old may join us for six weeks of fresh air, sunshine, and simple pleasures on our beautiful Lucas Valley campus. Picnics, water play, nature walks, daily crafting, and a welcoming community.

Summer Camp at Marin Waldorf School is based on the tenets of Waldorf early childhood education, incorporating ample outdoor activities and free play with a gentle daily rhythm. Throughout the summer, we hike, craft, cook, sing, and play together. Our cozy and inviting early childhood classrooms are available to us—each equipped with a kitchen and children’s bathrooms—but we spend most of the day outdoors, enjoying the sunny days in the shade of our old oak trees, or hiking around our campus. We share a homemade organic snack each day.

  • Warm and cozy indoor spaces designed for young children and an expansive outdoor play yard with a swing, sandbox, and vegetable garden.

  • Crafts, painting and drawing, and other teacher-led activities.

  • An organic homemade organic snack provided for campers daily (parents send a hearty lunch and water bottle).

  • Open to children 3-6 years old (preschool to incoming 1st grade).

  • $1,300 per 2-week session.

Enrollment is limited! Please register now at the links below to save your spot.

Our daughter had a magical week at Camp GROW! She loved being outside in the garden, doing creative plant-themed crafts & journaling in the shade, and learning more about words in a fun, inspiring atmosphere. The creek walk and neighborhood plant walk were special highlights. As parents we felt this camp was not only enjoyable for our daughter but really benefited her development... it was worth every penny!
— Siobhán (2nd grade parent)
Our son had the most wonderful and expansive time at Camp GROW this summer—exploring the garden, connecting with nature and his peers, and returning home each day with joyful stories of play, creativity, and interactive literacy. We witnessed so much growth, magic, mind expansion and happiness in him throughout his time there. We are deeply grateful for this experience and can’t wait to return next summer. Camp GROW is a truly special place for children to learn, grow, and thrive!

Kids learn safety and skill-sets of basic woodworking and make their own projects.

  • Gardening:
We get to water, plant, and harvest in the beautiful garden (please note gardening is not available in June).

  • Alternative nature-based crafts are also provided for kids who do not want to focus on carpentry or archery as much.

In addition to our core curriculum this camp may include:

  • Carpentry Safety & Projects

  • Organic Gardening

  • Healthy Cooking Projects

  • Natural Dyes

  • Ecological Arts & Crafts

  • Wild Edibles

  • And more...

I just want to let you know how much our little girl loved her week at camp. After just the first day, she told me how much she loves birds, and told me lots of types of birds. She was also noticing all sorts of things like how a pond sparkled or how a tree looked. At the end of the week, I asked her what her favorite part of the camp was. She replied, “EVERYTHING”. I could not be happier with all she seemed to have learned, especially a renewal of her confidence and connection to herself and her world. I hope she will be able to do more Vilda camps.
