Annual Giving Fund
Marin Waldorf School is proud of the strong relationships we have within our community. We depend on the generosity of our parents, faculty, friends, extended families, alumni, businesses and foundations to help create a supportive environment that nurtures the development and education of our students. And, in turn, our students receive the strong foundation they need to contribute to their communities and the wider world.
All independent schools, and now even many public schools, rely on extra support above and beyond tuition and fees. This is because the real cost of educating our children and giving them a solid cultural and academic foundation is more than the cost of tuition. The rich, full Waldorf education that we provide requires generous tax-deductible gifts to preserve our offering of a vibrant and diverse curriculum to as many students as possible.
At Marin Waldorf School, we raise additional money each year for the education of our children through the annual fund, our annual auction event, our scrip and eScrip programs, grant funding from foundations, and through other fundraisers throughout the year.
Our annual fund is an all school campaign that raises funds for the school's operating budget, and covers such items as teacher salaries, tuition assistance, and student programs and services. Annual Giving allows our Board of Trustees to set tuition at a level that encourages financial diversity and enables every parent to participate meaningfully in the financial life of the school with a tax-deductible gift. The generosity of these gifts makes a significant difference in the lives of our students and teachers enabling us to fulfill our mission.
