Tuition and Financial Aid

“For me, it was the most tremendous gift my parents ever gave me.”
- MWS Alumni, Cheri Rivers Ndaliko Ph.D. African Studies, Harvard University

Marin Waldorf School is a community of shared values within an economically diverse parent body. We strive to create access to our education to those who could otherwise not attend for financial reasons. For that reason, we offer Tuition Assistance for kindergarten through 8th grade, which takes into account each families ability to pay.

In addition to our tuition assistance program, we offer two specific scholarship programs, our Lesley Rosenberg Inclusion Scholarship and our Native Reconciliation Tuition Program.

2024-2025 TUITION

$12,790 Preschool - 3 Days per week
$21,480 Preschool - 5 days per week
$24,885 Kindergarten (5 days)
$29,820 Grades 1 - 8

If you have two or more children in the Kindergarten and/or grades, we offer a generous sibling discount. This discount is given automatically to all families who do not qualify for Tuition Assistance.

To apply to for tuition assistance, we ask families to complete a tuition assistance application (below).

The Application Deadline for Priority Tuition Assistance Awards is January 31, 2024 for new families.

If inquiring after Jan. 31, please contact our Admissions Office.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Marin Waldorf School is committed to building an inclusive learning environment in which differences are understood and celebrated. In line with this mission, we are proud to offer two scholarship programs, as well as directing families towards privately funded external scholarships.

Lesley Rosenberg
Inclusion Scholarship

Established in 2022, the Lesley Rosenberg Inclusion Scholarship provides full and partial tuition scholarships to families with demonstrated financial need from underrepresented communities. Families interested in applying for the Lesley Rosenberg Inclusion Scholarship should contact admissions director Chantal Valentine to discuss the process.

Basic Fund and Guardsmen Scholarships

The Basic Fund and Guardsmen Scholarships are privately funded external scholarships aimed at helping low-income families meet the costs of tuition after internal assistance has been awarded. These scholarships further reduce the tuition obligation for a family wishing to attend Marin Waldorf School. Learn more by visiting their websites:

Native Reconciliation Tuition Program

In recognition of the historical and continuing trauma inflicted by colonialism on the Native people of North America, Marin Waldorf School (MWS) is offering a tuition-free Waldorf education for a select number of students whose families are members of an indigenous tribe in the United States.

Established in 2023, in response to a call to action from the Lakota Waldorf School in North Dakota, Marin Waldorf School is proud to be tuition-free for Native American students. Families interested in applying for the Native Reconciliation Tuition Program should contact admissions director Chantal Valentine to discuss the process.
